Summary/Objective

The Infrastructure Analyst operates across the IT Infrastructure to monitor the performance of systems residing on the network.  Routine analysis is conducted on systems including firewalls, operating systems, servers, storage, applications, and devices.

The Infrastructure Analyst will work closely with their team members to monitor threat and activity that move throughout the network.  Within your role you will have the opportunity as well to create strong working relationships with technology experts as you take on some of the core tasks required by the role.

Essential Functions

  • Providing remote and on-site diagnostics and implementations of network software and components using industry tools and processes
  • Performing the general operations and maintenance tasks pertaining to information systems and associated devices and hardware
  • Testing and integrating system modules
  • Analyzing and evaluating data for purposes of implementing and recommending swift remediation tactics
  • Identifying and escalating system performance and security threat issues
  • Liaising between technical staff, management, users, and vendors to mitigate risk and other technical matters
  • Design, deployment, upgrade, and maintenance of new technology across the network
  • Trains users on software
  • Creates training materials

Required Skills, Experience, Degrees or Certification

  • Must be a Canadian resident
  • 5-8 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Familiarity with techniques and best practices used to configure and manage information processing systems
  • Familiarity with Information Technology diagnostic tools
  • Advanced knowledge on network concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • In-depth comprehension of computer operating systems, servers, and backup/restore systems
  • Familiar with systems management software, patch management, and software distribution
  • Experience with Linux, MacOS and Foss software, including a mostly Unix based environment
  • Competent in setup and maintenance of common internal web applications, databases, and authentication systems

  • Server +
  • MCSE
  • Related industry tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Unix admin experience
  • CCNP or Network +
  • BASH, Powershell, and/or scripting experience
  • MDM software and policies
  • Ruby/Python
  • LDAP
  • VMWare/KVM
  • Substantial T1-T3 experience
  • Experience with GSuite, ZOHO, Zentral, and IPA is a plus
